Client:   The Studio School of Dance is a family owned dance studio that was forced to convert to a virtual dance school during the pandemic.

Challenge:  During a critical time for the dance studio, where some families had to end their classes due to the pandemic economy, and where many grave emails had been exchanged, I suggested the studio send a friendly newsletter. The goal was to lighten the mood and retain the school’s existing customers by emphasizing the family atmosphere of the studio.

Solution: I led with a fun, neighborly introduction to engage the customer and continued into a consumer benefit: their registration is taken care of. A down to earth tone is used to imply familiarity and a call to action is added. I chose to keep the copy brief and to the point, then bulleted important information for the readers who are only skimming.
